Why not hire a full-time developer?

Who are the developers?

How do I request projects?
After you've subscribed, you'll be able to create, order, and monitor projects within our web UI. We'll communicate via email with the point person for that project.
Is there any limit on requests?
Add as many projects to the queue as you like, and we'll work on them in the order they appear. Just remember we only work on one project at a time per client.
How fast do I see results?
On average, expect a two-week turnaround on new projects. Less for incremental changes. Just remember this varies from project to project. Some simply require more research to get right.
What if I want revisions?
Then you shall have revisions!
Add a revision project to the top of your queue and we'll start work on it immediately. Software is an iterative process, so this is to be expected.
Who pays platform costs?
You do. We bill you for all platform costs without surcharges.
At the start of each billing cycle, we bill the 3-month rolling average of your platform costs. We also bill for any additional expenditure for the previous month. Any excess credit as a result of the rolling average will be applied to the following month's bill.
In general, we're very thrifty. But if you find a particular service too expensive, add a project to the queue for us to explore ways to bring the cost down.
Do you use [trendy new service]?
We've rode the cutting edge for two years, and we intend to continue.
That said, we aim always to use the right tool for the job. Different models have different strengths. And sometimes a less intelligent model is better for cost or speed. Everything in it's right place.
Do you train your own models?
No. Training in-house models is expensive, time-consuming, and risky. And even if you develop a great solution, upgrades requires the investment to be made again in full.
Instead, we build on the shoulders of giants. Market competition drives upstream models to advance at a rapid pace. By leveraging third-party APIs and open source, we save you time and money, and we can easily upgrade over time.
This method also allows us to focus on solving your specific use-case, through added functionality, embedded data, or fine-tuning where appropriate.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a full 30-day money-back guarantee. If you choose this option, you'll still pay any platform costs, and you won't be allowed to take the work we did for you with you.
How do I unsubscribe?
It's easy to eject from our platform. We deploy to a separate AWS account per customer. So when you want to leave, we transfer the AWS account and the codebase to you.
You'll have until the end of your current billing cycle to transfer all platform costs to your own accounts, and you'll be responsible for any residual charges we incur.
